Part I: LCD Projector Tips and Tricks
Remote control signal
Most remotes on LCD projectors can be used to program where the signal is received to turn on/off or access the menu on the projector.
It is very easy to change the set up to rear, front or both.
Simply press the menu button and go to settings.
Select remote receiver and then select front/rear for best results.
This will allow you to stand either behind or front of the projector to turn if off or on.
Freezing your screen
Your morning work is up on the screen and you need to take attendance with out disturbing your students.
Simple press the freeze button and the screen will be frozen on what is being projected at that time. Now you may switch applications, take attendance, open your powerpoint, etc.
When you are finished with the frozen screen simply press the freeze button on the remote again and you are back to a live shot of what is on your monitor.
Filter Cleaning
LCD have a filter that needs to be cleaned out at least twice a year. It is very simple and a necessary step to complete, to ensure your bulb will last longer and your LCD will work better.
Find the fan part of your LCD open the door and remove the filter in most projectors it is like a spongy material. Vacuum the filter and or shake it out in the trashcan. Reinstall the filter back in the LCD and close the door.
Daylight Savings time, when replacing batteries in your smoke detectors, or Winter Break and Summer Break are all great times to clean your filter!
