How to backup or save files to a CD
Insert CD
(if a box comes up click on take no action)
Click on file you want to copy (this will highlight it)
Note: if you want to copy more than one file hold down shift and click on the last file you want to copy and it will highlight all files in the list or you can click on each file as you hold down shift.)
After all files are highlighted right click and a box will come up
Go to the words “send to”- another box will come up
Click on your CD drive (D:) (words will come up -you have files waiting to be written to the CD)
Click on the bubble telling you this.
Click on write these files to the CD in the list on the left.
Follow instructions in the CD writing wizard to complete the process.
To check it-go to my computer.
Double click on your CD drive. It will open and you should see all the files you copied.
