Loading KickYouTube Videos
1. Select a video from www.youtube.com.
2. Move your mouse to the URL box (website address box) at the top of the page. Type “kick” or “kiss” in front of “youtube” in the URL.
3. Press Enter.
4. When the page reloads, you’ll see KickYouTube’s menu bar at the top of the window.
Downloading (saving) the Video
1. Click to select the desired format; then click on the “Go” button at the right side of the bar. MP4 works well for Mac and FLV for Windows.
2. KickYouTube does take a little time. When done, the green “Go” will change to a blue download button.
3. Right-click (Windows) or Cntrl+click (Mac) the blue download button and choose “Save link as” or “Save Target as” (or something to that effect).
4. This opens a window that allows you to save the video to a desired location on your computer.
5. Once you’ve saved the video, double-click on it to open it. It will play in QuickTime, Flash Player, Windows Media Player, or another media player program.
6. If you are inserting this in a Power Point etc., remember to cite your source by copying and pasting the URL of that video on your slide.
